Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your HiveMQ account yourself from the user menu.
Contact HiveMQ Support only if your account is blocked or you can no longer sign in. To contact HiveMQ Support, select Get Help in the app or ask Bea.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. When you delete your account, HiveMQ also deletes every organization that you own.
Before You Begin
Before HiveMQ deletes your account, it checks only the organizations that you own. The organization owner is usually the user who created the organization. The organization owner owns the organization.
The organization owner is not the same as the Owner role. For details, see Organization.
If you have the Owner or Admin role in an organization that someone else owns, nothing is checked. Deleting your account removes you from the organization. The organization and its other members remain unchanged.
To delete your account, all organizations you own must meet both of the following requirements:
-
The organization has no other members.
-
The organization has no clusters, except clusters that HiveMQ is already deleting.
To meet these requirements, complete the following tasks:
-
Remove other members: For instructions, see Remove Team Members. If the organization and its members must continue to exist, ask HiveMQ Support to transfer ownership to another member.
-
Delete Starter clusters: You can delete Starter clusters yourself.
-
Delete Dedicated clusters: Contact HiveMQ Support.
The member check includes members that do not appear in the Team list, such as members that Enterprise SSO manages. If you cannot find or remove a member, contact HiveMQ Support.
Delete Your Account
-
Open the user menu in the upper-right corner.
-
Select Account details.
-
In the Delete account section, select Delete account.
-
Read the confirmation message, then confirm the deletion.
HiveMQ deletes your account and signs you out.
If your account does not meet the deletion requirements, HiveMQ does not delete your account. Instead, a message lists each organization that still has other members or clusters. A Starter cluster in the list links to its details page, where you can delete it. For a Dedicated cluster, or to transfer organization ownership, select Open a support case.
