Remove Team Members
Remove a member from your organization. The member loses access to the organization immediately. Removal does not affect the HiveMQ account of the member or their memberships in other organizations.
Before You Begin
To remove members from an organization, you need to be the organization owner, or have an Owner or Admin role. For a description of the roles, see Organization.
You cannot remove the following members:
-
The organization owner. Each organization has exactly one organization owner. The organization owner is usually the user who created the organization. The remove button is disabled for this member, and HiveMQ rejects any other removal request, such as an API request. To remove the organization owner, see Remove the Organization Owner.
-
Yourself. The remove option is not available in your own row. To leave an organization, ask the organization owner or another member with the Owner or Admin role to remove you. If you are the organization owner, HiveMQ Support must transfer ownership first. For details, see Remove the Organization Owner.
| The Owner role does not make a member the organization owner. Any member with the Owner or Admin role can remove a member who has the Owner role but is not the organization owner. |
| If your organization uses Enterprise SSO, manage members in your identity provider. In this case, the member list shows only the organization owner. For details, see Enterprise Single Sign-On. |
