Organization
An Organization is the top-level account container in the HiveMQ Platform. The organization owns your HiveMQ licenses, team membership, and billing information.
From the Organization menu, you can manage the following areas:

Licenses and subscription plans

Billing information
Use Account to manage your user profile, privacy settings, and general platform preferences.
Team Roles
The HiveMQ Platform uses role-based access control (RBAC) to define what each team member can do. The following roles are available:

Owner |
Unrestricted access to the organization and all its settings. Can manage members, billing, and all broker configurations. |
Admin |
Can manage brokers, access control, and API tokens. Has access to organization settings and billing. |
Viewer |
Read-only access to brokers and organization details. Can view API tokens and manage their own profile. |
Organization Owner and Owner Role
The organization owner and the Owner role grant different rights. A member can have the Owner role without being the organization owner.

Each organization has exactly one organization owner. The organization owner is usually the user who created the organization. In the member list, this user has the label Organization Owner. The organization, its billing, and its Enterprise SSO configuration belong to the organization owner. No member can remove the organization owner, and the organization owner cannot leave the organization. Only HiveMQ Support can transfer ownership to another member.

Any number of members can have the Owner role. The Owner role grants full permissions, as described in Team Roles. The Owner role does not make a member the organization owner and does not transfer ownership.
For example, you invite a colleague and assign the Owner role. Your colleague can manage members, billing, and clusters, but the organization still belongs to you.
To transfer ownership, contact HiveMQ Support. To contact HiveMQ Support, select Get Help in the app or ask Bea. After the transfer, the previous organization owner has the Admin role and can be removed like any other member.
