Connect an Existing Mosquitto Broker

Connect a running Mosquitto broker to the HiveMQ Platform using a platform-generated connection string.

To open the connection wizard:

  1. Select Connect.

  2. Click Get Broker.

  3. On Choose how to run HiveMQ, click Connect what you already run.

  4. On Connect an existing broker, click Mosquitto.

  5. In the wizard, click Copy Key to copy the platform connection string to your clipboard.

  6. In Connect, find the not-yet-connected Mosquitto broker in the Network list and click View Details.

  7. In the broker details, click the connection key field and paste the connection string.

  8. Restart the Mosquitto broker.

After the broker restarts, it appears as connected in Connect.
