Agent Bea

Bea is the HiveMQ AI assistant embedded throughout the HiveMQ Platform console. Bea answers questions, recommends next steps, takes you to the right part of the console, and helps you build AI agents.

Access Bea

You can open Bea from several points in the console:

  • Bea button in the header: Available on every screen. Opens Bea in the context of whatever you are currently doing.

  • Learn & Get Help hub: Links directly to Bea for interactive guidance, alongside curated guides and courses.

  • Action cards: Recommended-action cards on the Explore home dashboard and cluster-level Get Started buttons open Bea pre-focused on a specific task. For example, Bea can help you connect an MQTT client or set up a broker.

  • Agentic Platform: Within Act, Bea can generate a starting agent definition that you then refine in the agent builder.

What Bea Can Do

Bea handles three categories of requests:

  • Answer questions: Ask about HiveMQ concepts, configuration options, or platform features. Bea draws on HiveMQ documentation and your current context.

  • Recommend next steps: Bea knows where you are in the console and can suggest the right action, guide, or workflow for your goal.

  • Navigate the console: Bea takes you directly to the relevant section so you do not have to find it manually.

In the Agentic Platform, Bea also generates Data-Defined Agent (DDA) YAML from a natural-language description. You refine this starting point before you deploy it.

Bea and the Data Journey
