HiveMQ Platform Overview

The HiveMQ Platform combines data streaming, data intelligence, and agentic AI in a single management console. Use the platform to deploy, monitor, and operate your entire IoT network, from a central broker to devices at the edge.

The platform supports both HiveMQ Cloud and HiveMQ Software deployments.

Platform Layers

The HiveMQ Platform organizes its capabilities into five functional layers, plus an AI assistant that spans all layers.

Explore

Explore is the platform home, providing paths to all layers. Explore shows personalized AI insights and recommended actions based on your current network state.

Connect

Connect is the foundational data streaming layer. Use Connect to register, deploy, and manage MQTT brokers and HiveMQ Edge devices across your network.

Contextualize

Contextualize is the data intelligence layer for namespace building. Use Contextualize to discover data streams and build your Unified Namespace (UNS).

Analyze

Analyze is the data intelligence layer for operational monitoring. Use Analyze to monitor data health and manage deviations across your UNS.

Act

Act is the agentic AI layer, *currently available as a public preview*. Use Act to build and deploy AI agents that act on real-time IoT data.

Bea

Bea is the platform AI assistant, available on every page. Click Ask Bea to get configuration recommendations, ask questions about your network, or create a support request.

How the Platform Works

The HiveMQ Platform monitors discrete network events and presents insights that inform your decisions. Open Explore at the start of each session to review current AI insights and recommended next steps.

Bea is context-aware throughout the platform. Click Ask Bea on any page to get recommendations, ask configuration questions, or create a support request.

The end-to-end platform story: ingest operational technology (OT) data through MQTT streaming, establish semantic context with the Unified Namespace, and trigger autonomous decisions with AI agents.
