Create a Client Certificate

Client certificate authentication uses X.509 certificates to verify the identity of MQTT clients. For more information, see Authentication.

Client certificate authentication requires a Starter or Enterprise plan.

To open certificate settings, follow the steps in Configure Access Management, then switch to Access Management.

  1. In Authentication > Client Certificate, click Configure.

  2. In the Client Certificate area, enter a Name for the certificate.

  3. Drag and drop your public key certificate to the Key field, or click to upload it.

  4. In Role, select a role from the list to set the access level the certificate allows.

  5. Click Save.

Client certificate authentication is now active for your broker.
